Description: The location of the work is the West Jackson County Utility District. Description: The project includes cleaning and disposal of alum sludge located in two sludge holding lagoons with a surface area of approximately six (6) acres and sand/silt from a raw water reservoir with a surface area of approximately five (5) acres. Sludge, sand and silt material removed shall be disposed in existing adjacent drying beds. The Contractor will be required to inspect the site prior to removing the material and repairing dewatering structures and performing any minor work necessary to prepare the drying beds for receiving the material.

Hurricane Katrina Repairs to the Police Training Academy

Description: The project includes a new police training academy for the City of Pascagoula to replace in kind the building damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The damaged building and foundation has been demolished and removed from the site by others. The new facility will be a pre-engineered metal building constructed on an auger-cast pile foundation. Included will be a concrete masonry structure housing the stair well and elevator. The building will be an elevated single floor, singe sloped roof structure with insulated metal panel exterior and single-ply membrane roof system. Site work is limited to limestone base under building footprint, concrete sidewalk, and utility tie-ins.

Description: The location of the work is South of the existing Highway 57, between Old Spanish Trail and Fountainbleau Road.
The drawings for the construction are entitled "Highway 57 Extension” and are dated January 2008.
The project is designed to extend the existing Highway 57 to the South from Old Spanish Trail to Fountainbleau Road. Work includes clearing, site preparation, base, grading, paving, striping, traffic control, erosion control, site restoration, and as an additive alternate, construction of a bridge.
